Delete your NIPPOCHAT account
You can delete your NIPPOCHAT account and the personal data associated with it at any time.
Option 1 — In the app
- Open NIPPOCHAT and sign in.
- Go to your Profile.
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
Your profile is hidden immediately and you are signed out.
Option 2 — By email
If you can no longer access the app, send an email to privacy@nippochat.com with the subject "Account deletion request", from the email address registered to your account. We may ask you to confirm the request to protect your account from unauthorised deletion.
What is deleted
- Your account and sign-in information.
- Your profile: name, date of birth, bio, intentions, interests, languages, location, avatar, cover, and profile photos and videos.
- Your posts, photos, videos, comments, likes, saves and follows.
- Your messages and attachments, interests expressed and block lists.
- Usage and personalisation data linked to your account.
When it is deleted
Your account is deactivated and hidden from other users immediately. Your data is permanently deleted within 30 days. Residual copies in backups and security logs are deleted within 90 days.
What may be kept
We may keep limited information for longer only when required by law, to resolve disputes, or to prevent fraud and abuse (for example, a record that an account was removed for violating our rules). Messages you sent to other people may remain visible to them in their conversation history until that conversation is deleted.
